Looking Closely at Plants

Botanical illustration is a wonderful juncture of art and science and it is a fascinating entry into the world around us. When I was in art school, I never thought that I would venture into this art form as I was committed to oil on canvas. Many years later, I find myself pulling plants apart and using a loupe to get up close and personal with the environment.
